Why "Zonotope"?
If you've ever been on this Website before you may remember it used to go under a slightly different name (Why Not?!) and you may be wondering why I changed it I do have a few reasons the main one being that whynot.dev was recently registered while whynot.uk is currently going for £2,588 (Yes I'm british) meaning that I would potentially be up against competition which I didn't want I also recently migrated to using googles M3 https://m3.material.io/ to give the site a cleaner polished look and ended up with a logo that kind of looked like a zonotope (See below) on top of that it felt like a unique name which hadn't realy been tried before and really matched my aesthetic. I may release a report In more detail soon but for now if you are curios Google is your friend oh yeah and if your wondering what a zonotope is...
A zonotope is a geometric shape — a polytope formed by combining simple line segments into intricate, symmetric structures. The name comes from Latin "zona" (belt), because its faces wrap around the shape in continuous zones. ☝️🤓
